Launched by Ricoh in November 1995, the Ricoh R1S is the successor to the cult Ricoh R1. The R1S differs from the R1 with a silver coloured aluminium body shell in updated styling without leatherette trim. It has a multicoated lens with the same 30mm F/3.5 lens and 30mm F/3.5 panoramic mode, plus 24mm F/8 panoramic mode.
