- The Surface Laptop Go 2 occupies a special place in the Surface line up. It is priced much lesser than the Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, Surface Book, Surface Book Series, yet it packs an 11th Gen Intel i5-1135G5 and Xe Graphics, similar to the Surface Pro 8, making it capable of some video/photo editing and light gaming as well. Despite the lower price, it maintains the Surface metallic lid, sleek design, high quality pixelsense touchscreen display, comfortable to type on silent keyboard with good key travel, large trackpad, amazingly loud and clear speakers from under the keyboard, long battery life, while weighing only 1.1kg and actually still having one USB-A port. Making it possibly the most value for money Surface device. (Yes it passes the one finger lift up lid test prefectly!)
Compromises made to the Surface Laptop Go 2 would likely be the lower resolution screen compared to higher prices Surface models and a lack of backlit keyboard. Small inconveniences to getting you that lower price while maintaining 13.5hrs battery life and keeping it to 1.1kg. Surprisingly, the screen remains good to look at and use for media consumption or productivity tasks despite the lower resolution.

- This piece was a display set in an electronics store, thus never personally owned, never heavily used, and constantly plugged in, rarely running on battery.
- This Model is still retailing brand new on Microsoft website for $949. $599 is more than reasonable. Do not bother bargaining.
